H1. Announces First Open Call for Collaboration: How can you use data to inform clinical research directions and decisions?

H1. aims to empower stakeholders in healthcare and the life sciences to use “Big Data” analytics on research and clinical results to understand how to make biomedical advances happen. Whether you work in applied or theoretical fields, whether you’re a commercial, non-profit, or academic entity, we are offering free access to our proprietary dataset to help fuel the next wave of clinical innovation.

We’ve taken the time and technical resources to link and disambiguate all of the records below. Our goal is to use these data to facilitate smarter decisions for public and private resource allocation, opportunity sourcing, collaboration, and more.

Partners will be given API access to one of the largest repositories of medical and scientific metadata ever assembled, as well as the possibility of funding and joint initiatives.  

Sample ideas/questions for applicants include but are not limited to

  1. Trend detection and horizon scanning: What are the next healthcare breakthroughs and how can we find them in scholarly literature and clinical “Big Data”?
  2. What factors most strongly predict the success of a given clinical pipeline?
  3. How can we synthesize research from across institutions and disciplines to draw better, lasting conclusions about therapies and research methods.

If you are interested in working with H1., below is a list of potential collaboration formats, although we are always open to out-of-the-box thinking!

For research/academia/nonprofits

  1. Research papers, white papers, conference posters
    • Just tell us what your research question is, why you think our data could help, and how you intend to use it.
  2. SBIR or other joint grant applications:
    • If you are looking for a small-business partner for a federal grant, or wish to use our data in a pre-existing project.
  3. Libraries and scholarly publishing world
  4. Other open source programs or software:
    • Clinical analytics + biomedical informatics:
      • Biblio- and scientometrics
      • Drug discovery and target identification tools
      • Scientific natural language processing and sentiment analysis
      • Big “omics” data analysis
      • Predictive modeling and machine learning
      • Commercial “spinoffs”
